What happens when you mix the Black Lips with GZA, you get what Pitchfork's Tom Breihman describes as "more of a mess than anyone could've possibly imagined." Separately, we love The Black Lips and GZA and somehow find it hard to believe that both of these amazing artists wouldn't create something cool together. The Black Lips's track, The Drop I Hold, featuring GZA has leaked and is officially available on iTunes May 5th. Get ready to hear what some may love or hate or love to hate.

Selector, a new initiative by owners of Nixon and Lifetime Clothing, is getting ready for its Tokyo tour. The first show will take place May 9th at PLSMIS Gallery in Aoyama, Tokyo and will feature works by artists from international cities including New York, L.A, Stockholm, Montreal and of course Tokyo. Some of the big names on the bill include Liam Maloney from Montreal, New York's Mario Hugo, and our personal favorite Vancouver's Jody Rogac. The Selector team also promises a long night of karaoke so get practicing. The show may even inspire you to hit some Whitney Houston notes. Cool project Selector, now we're waiting for a North American tour, please.

Married to the Mob asks if a child gets raped in another country and no one's around to hear her, does she make a sound? And when Married to the Mob takes a stand against the rape and marriage laws in Saudi Arabia, do they make a difference? The answer to both is yes. In response to the current child bride and statutory rape outrage (please see story here) Married to the Mob and the M.O.B. decided that watching the news and just being informed was not enough and have taken action. In an effort to raise awareness, the ladies have stenciled the word 'RAPE' onto twelve Saudi flags and sent them to consulates, world media outlets and Mr. Obama himself! Good work M.O.B. We admire your efforts and stand strongly behind you.
