After five years of hiding, De La Soul is back and this time they’re joining you on your daily (maybe more like weekly) run. De La Soul has teamed up with Nike and Apple to bring you a 45 minute track released for the NIKE+ campaign. The track was written specifically to accompany runners and consists of eight or nine songs mixed by Chicago based duo Flosstradamus. De La Soul member, Posdnuos, says he got back into running thanks to this project by testing the music on himself while he was exercising. Past NIKE+ tracks include LCD Soundsystem, A-Trak and Aesop Rock. If it worked on Posdnous, it may work for you too.

Over at hearty we are obviously stoked when we find new girl bands, especially shredding, fabulous girl bands that put the men to shame. But, being budding third-wave feminists and so post-everything, we think it’s perfectly okay to praise the boys. Right now hearty is squirming over these little skids, Is Tropical (a South London band made up of members of the now-defunct, Ratty Rat Rat). Is Tropical, just proves that Brits, even the so-called squat punks, will always be the best at pop. Example? When O’ When. We dare you to not get this stuck in your head.

Matthew Williamson is the chosen one, chosen by H&M that is. The iconic store is known for its seasonal collaborations with remarkable designers -Comme Des Garcons, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli- and this season has chosen to go with home grown Matthew Williamson to create a two part collection for the months ahead. ‘Part 1’ of Williamson’s collection (available now) plays with textures not only colors, and mixes raw silk with leathers and studs.
