We hit the road from NYC to Chicago and didn't even realize the things we would find along the way. We stopped by Paterson Great Falls. It was as if no one visits except the people who live in the neighborhood. In Ohio, we pulled off the road so many times to get a look at the vast farm space--corn stalks, grazing fields, barns. Our favorite stop out of all of them though, was St. Joseph in Michigan. It was out of the way but so worth it. Beach that expanded on both sides of an old lighthouse and an amazing hilltop view of it from behind the beachhead. The sky and water were so blue.
