Get Beauty__ The Skin Tip to Reduce Summer Shine
With sticky summer temperatures, it might be hard to escape the inevitable shiny face that occurs after makeup application. But rather than continually trying to blot and apply more powder, makeup artist Daniel Martin suggests a couple simple tricks.
Layering eye-primer along the T-zone will help to camouflage those areas where oil build up occurs. “I discovered it on a whim when I didn’t have powder in my bag on a job, but I did have Cover FX Anti-Age Smoothing Eye Primer,” Martin said in an interview with Vogue.
But Martin has one more trick up his sleeve that he boasts about reducing shine. His product of choice (in addition to eye-primer): Dior’s 2-in-1 Prime and Conceal multitasking formula. “It’s like a concealer, powder, and primer in one. I use it [to hide] redness, large pores, and shine,” Martin said.
