Get Fit__ Female UFC Champ Ronda Rousey Takes A Shot At Mayweather

July 16, 2015 | By

Yesterday, in a great victory for womankind, UFC champion Ronda Rousey beat Floyd Mayweather for the Best Fighter ESPY award despite Mayweather’s recent historic victory over Manny Pacquiao .

When Rousey accepted her award, she commented that she wondered how Mayweather felt about “getting beat by a woman for once” – an obvious reference to Mayweather’s multiple domestic violence arrests. She went on to say, "I'd like to see you pretend not to know who I am now," referring to an interview in which Mayweather was asked whether he could beat Rousey in a fight, to which he responded that he was not familiar with Rousey.

Rousey also took home the Best Female Athlete ESPY, beating out Serena Williams, skier Lindsey Vonn and Connecticut’s three-time NCAA champion Breanna Stewart.

Rousey (11-0) will face her next opponent, undefeated Brazilian Bethe Correia, on August 1 in Rio De Janeiro. She recently broke the record for the quickest finish ever in a UFC title fight against Cat Zingano. You go girl.
