Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair’s Autumn ’09 collection brings a little (wanted) drama into our lives, by shaping fabrics to construct different embellished shapes and silhouettes. Inspiration was drawn from Picasso’s paintings, “Girl with a mandolin” and “Guitar,” and multiple checked fabrics and tweeds were thrown together to create different shades of color. Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair was hoping to capture a clown’s feelings and expressions. Other inspirations include the work of artists Jeanne Claude and Christo.
