A.P.C. lets their hair down via disco 'fro

A.P.C. knows how to keep a good thing going. After the success of their first collection, Jean Touitou called on former Azzaro Creative director Vanessa Seward to give it another go. As part of A.P.C.’s spring/summer 2013 release, Seward brings a little bit of 70s disco glam to a fifteen-piece capsule collection. Sourcing fabrics from vintage textile archives, the capsule includes lightweight blouses and ruffled one-shouldered dresses, done in sheer chiffon with golden lamé stripes. The cute tulip print, featured on the lightweight jersey dresses and rompers, is Vanessa’s first foray in print design, and a successful one at that. Taking advantage of Touitou’s ninja denim skills, Seward adds a bit of feminine flair to three fundamental denim looks: a fitted knee-length skirt, high-waisted jeans, and a simple jacket. Oh and we’ve gotta say, the lookbook’s styling is the perfect compliment to the collection, with kooky Magenta (of Rocky Horror Picture Show) vibes balancing out the demure appeal we’ve come to expect from the French label.
