April77 and Calla make denim to make music to

Canadian designer Calla Haynes teams up with French label April77 on a special edition capsule collection of denim. The roster of six jean styles and two jackets is built with April77 quality, style and fit and then doused with Calla’s trippy printed textiles.

The collaboration references good old R&R—The White Lake print named after the neighboring town to Woodstock, and Chiba being the location of Japan’s annual Summer Sonic Festival. So, appropriately, The White Lake print is a little more ink-blot-lava-lamp, while the more modern Chiba is more markedly digital.

According to Calla Haynes, this is the uniform for the Rock and Roll journalist. But if that’s not your career goal, you’ve got a starter kit for cruising around this summer’s music festivals. April77 added the nice little touch of a guitar pick holder on the watch pocket and on the inside of the jacket, just in case you need to bust out a riff on the fly, twice.
