Touches of metal and geometry for your fingers by Bande Des Quartres

A piece of jewelry that sits on your body like it belongs there, with ease, is the type of piece that eventually becomes a part of your body.  Artist Erin Wahed and jeweler Janis Kerman created NY-based boutique line, Bande Des Quatres, taking a familiar aesthetic and distinguishing it with subtly and delicacy. Basic metallic geometric shapes and crosses are, by no means, markers of newness these days, but the pieces in this collection are wearable and muted enough that they could sit on your finger for years without ever coming off. Bande des Quatres translates to Gang of Four, and although the designers don't explicitly state it, it seems reasonable to assume that images of China in the late 60's and the advent of the Cultural Revolution accentuate the line's ethos.

these remind me of halloween costume headbands where it looks like there’s a sword going through your head. does that make sense?
