Liberty London's romantic florals, take on Doc Martens' tough guy boots and loafers

Liberty London is setting us up nicely for summer. After masterminding paisley prints for Nike, they're onto the next big thing--this time staying on their own soil and showering Doc Martens 3-hole shoes and 8-hole boots in variable blooms and birds.

Aside from the fact that these are both UK-based brands, the duo make for a very unlikely combo, operating in opposing aesthetic worlds. But Liberty's touch of femininity smoothes out Doc Marten's invariable toughness and vice versa. In other words, it's a match-up made in shoe heaven.

These 'wild nature' 30s-style floral settings remind of those Little Golden Books we used to have read to us when were kids. And in cased you sensed something a little mischievous about the patterns, it's because the designers took inspiration from William Morris' famous repeating Strawberry Thief textile.

The summer wishlist continues to grow...
