German painter Neo Rauch makes healing kinda creepy

Neo Rauch’s current show at the David Zwirner gallery in NYC is titled Heilstätten, which means “a place of healing” in German. Rauch’s use of dark colors, bizarre looking people and ominous landscapes makes this one hell of a scary place to heal.

This is Rauch’s fifth solo show at the David Zwirner gallery. This time, he included one of his only 3D pieces—a goddess-like female figure who stands proud holding a bronze owl in the center of the room, commanding attention. The show runs until December 17. Get healed.
