When we caught a glimpse of these little guys we had to get out our scissors and glue. Introducing the NaniBird, a three dimensional lil’ birdie you can make simply by cutting and pasting. The origins of this paper bird’s name come from the Japanese word ‘nani’ meaning ‘what.’ As a foreigner to Japan the artist Josh McKible found himself repeating this word, inspiring the original paintings of birds running around saying ‘nani?’ but since paintings can’t sit on your desk looking cute, McKible added dimension and gave birth (no he doesn’t lay eggs) to the NaniBird.

All you need is to download, print, cut and paste. Check out the 80 plus designs on NaniBird’s homepage nestpage here.
