Kim Gordon, most well-known as the bassist for Sonic Youth, also has a rich history in art. A graduate of Otis College Art and Design in Los Angeles, Kim worked in several galleries in New York and contributed to magazines like Art Forum in the early 80s. Featuring a series of work on paper and canvas, Kim has an upcoming art show and corresponding book, both titled, Kim Gordon: The Noise Paintings. The unbound book will feature original art work and a recording, all wrapped in a custom cloth.

Kim Gordon: The Noise Paintings, will be displayed at Glenn Horowitz Bookseller & Art Gallery in East Hampton, NY April 8th-May 8th. Gordon will be attending the artist reception on April 8th from 6-8pm.
