Liza Sylvestre paints moody pieces with watercolors

Liza Sylvestre was born in Minneapolis, but moved to Miami. It is here she creates dark, abstract and visually complicated paintings using watercolors. After suffering severe hearing loss as a child that continued to progress, Sylvestre has learned to focus on small details in order to navigate in the world. Though Miami is known for being warm and sunny, Sylvestre's pieces are dark and a little depressing. But, it’s the kind of depressing you can appreciate.
