Modern Frieda

Despite Frieda Kahlo's closet being on exhibit in Mexico City, Loeffler Randall had to one up the Frieda Kahlo museum by proffering Kahlo-inspired wearable pieces of, well, art. Jessie Randall, the designer of the pre-fall 2013 collection pulls from Kahlo's oft noted androgynous slant and Mexican heritage to create a very wearable, life-ready collection. With boots, leather and lengthy garments worn by Kahlo-reminiscent Yara Flinn in the lookbook, we can even overlook the lack of authentic cigarette and perfume odor.
