News__ LV for Japanese Opera

April 10, 2013 | By

Even animated characters know what's up.

Life's a stage and Marc Jacobs, artistic director of Louis Vuitton, is our faithful costume designers ensuring we meet plot and climax with style and grace. The French brand is also designing the costumes of the virtual cast of the virtual 3-D Japanese opera The End. The End is slated to feature "Vocaloids," artist projections with computer-generated voices and their chart-topping pop-idol (not at all real) leader Hatsune Mike in full fashion wonder. A total of four looks were created for the surreal stage including the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 checkerboard ensembles featured in the anime-esque sketch being circulated much to Hatsune fan horror.
