News__ Child Wars

| By

In response to Willow Smith's song, "Whip My Hair" one seven-year-old white rapper, Matty B, made his own video. It's crazy enough when you see a three-year-old playing with the Hipstematic App in his daddy's iPhone, but to know seven-year-old kids are responding to popular culture instead of playing in their imaginations (When did a good old fashion game of house, tag or Capture the Flag go out of style?) makes us feel like we just ate bad seafood. Maybe this is what our parents were talking about when we wanted to pierce our ears, "Kids are growing up so fast these days." Or perhaps we're just getting too old to understand what it means to be a second grader dying to bust into mainstream fame.
