Just because Vans Bowl-A-Rama Bondi just ended doesn’t mean we can’t keep talking about skateboarding. In fact, we were thinking of maybe going back a little further. Say, the 1960s—when skateboarding seemed to be for anyone and everyone was doing it. Delving into the unimaginably huge Life Magazine archives, Retronaut shows us photos of New York City through the eyes of kids (and some adults, too) on skateboards. The series was taken by Bill Eppridge and they arrive just in time to make summer feel just a little bit closer.
