A sneak peek of the new Obakki s/s '12 collection

Vancouver-based design house Obakki is making the west coast's easy-to-wear style international. For spring/summer 2012, creative director Treana Peake updated her signature asymmetrical styles with lightweight fabric in monochromatic neutral shades. Made from sheer cashmere, silk slub jersey and luxe linens, the pieces are unbelievably soft and cozy. Even the most formal dresses from the collection are comfortable. Looking sleek while being able to break out a yoga pose? What's more west coast than that?

Obakki's spring/summer 2012 also includes a few departures from blush shirt dresses and smokey knits, namely the Beatrix blazer and shorts made from raffia knit. The coarse weave was also used for totes bags. Additionally, custom geometric prints  used for maxi dresses and skirts add texture to the collection.
