It’s not too often that I get thrilled over a new denim collection, but Bpmw buddy and (capsule) exhibitor Nicole Tondre, who also owns the shop Court in Nolita, has launched Court denim for S/S 2011. Nicole has always been a self-professed denim snob and really pioneered the revival of the high-waisted jean from the retail side, so it’s fitting to see Court launching a denim collection that specializes in premium, high-waisted styles. It also makes sense if you know her--Nicole's a cool downtown chick with an easy 70’s, downtown vibe, kind of like another pal of ours, Chrissie Miller. (Actually, the Court shop has always carried Chrissie’s collection, Sophomore. The Sophomore tees pair perfectly with Court jeans!)

The collection will be in stores for S/S2011, but Court will soft-launch exclusively at their Nolita shop this season. The best thing about the soft-launch? An opportunity to work out all the kinks: Nicole wants feedback from Court customers in the quest to create the perfect jean. The deal is, you pick your wash, you pick your rise, you pick your style (five pocket or not) and you pick your fit (straight, boot or skinny). Pretty cool.

Chris and Momo take great pictures together.

(capsule) Paris was a great show and I feel fortunate to work with such a talented community of designers. My time in Paris, however, wasn’t just good because of an awesome show. There were good people, good food, tons of drinks and tons of laughs.

We have the best team in Paris, the Menage a Trois Agency comprised of Sarah, Mohamed, Michael and a huge crew of very cute, very hardworking boys.

Best dinner ever!

Kinda hungry...

On Monday we checked out Michael’s bike shops, Cyclope (for bikes) and La Petite Mecanique (for custom motorcyles) and appreciated some of his dope craftsmanship.

All in all, I had so much fun in Paris and can’t wait to come back in March for (capsule) Paris FW2011. Until then. Au Revoir.
