Pendleton creates a collection named after where they're based

Pendleton, which has been around for almost 150 years (since 1863), has had quite the run in what they would consider more recent years, collaborating with some of the biggest names in fashion. Seeing the fan base this opened up for them, Pendleton is now creating a special line with this young urban demo in mind. Pendleton introduces The Portland Collection, enlisting three young designers--Nathaniel Crissman, Rachel Turk and John Blasioli--who are all be from Portland to design the collection. "We looked to classic Pendleton fabrics as the foundation for the collection," Crissman said. "The archives served as a great inspiration, allowing us to tap into Pendleton's heritage while bringing our point of view to the brand."

The Portland Collection for fall '11 includes dresses, outerwear, reversible jacquard coats as well as Toboggan coats, pants,  knitwear, ponchos and accessories, like shoulder bags.
