News flew around fast on the internet this am that award winning author and illustrator, Maurice Sendak, who is best known for “Where the Wild Things Are” died today at the age of 83. Turning childhood fright into fun and encouraging mischief and a good old fashioned rough housing, Maurice made childhood just a little bit more awesome for all of us. The inventor of the "Wild Rumpus" may be gone, but he lives on inside our inner child.
There will be a Wild Rumpus tonight in Brooklyn to celebrate his life. R.I.P. Maurice Sendak.
