Rodebjer spring/summer 2012--it's like automatic sunshine

The Rodebjer s/s ‘12 collection is based on the frantic artist, melding life and work together “under the blazing sun of the Mediterranean coast.” It’s about those moments of intense presence, “when everything is connected, when life feeds art, art feeds life and something unique, yet wholly natural, is born.” It’s a vast and proverbial concept to build on for a collection but it works.

Rodebjer references the artist's traditional materials: unbleached canvas, deep clay and nude browns compliment primary splashes of yellow paint, blues, bright red, and some crisp canvas primer white. This artist is cruising down the coastline drenched in sunshine, wearing wide-brimmed hats, palazzo pants, and sand-sweeping skirts, maybe feeling frantic, but looking pretty damn cool.
