Saving the world—one beautiful person (and bird) at a time

EDUN, founded by Bono and his wife Ali Hewson in 2005, has enlisted, once again, photographer Ryan McGinley to shoot their latest fall/winter 2012 collection. As a socio-eco brand, EDUN aims to create sustainable fashion by supporting manufacturers, infrastructure and community building initiatives in Africa. Though you may be automatically picturing this season's lookbook filled with smiling models brandishing peace signs and cartoons of the earth with happy faces drawn on them, that is not the sort of aesthetic EDUN ever goes for.

McGinley is well known for his natural photography style that often includes nude models looking relaxed and happy inside dreamlike naturescapes. Here, he captures the warmth and simplicity of fall, while making the models look at ease with wild owls and a falcon. Even though summer isn't over, we're already holding our breath for the leaves to start falling and for those birds not to attack the models.

Check out the EDUN fall/winter 2012 lookbook by Ryan McGinley below.
