News__ Salt-N-Pepa Reunion Tour

January 10, 2011 | By

25 years after the release of their debut album, Hot, Cool and Viscous, Grammy Award-winning, hip-hop legends, Salt-N-Pepa, are set to embark on a celebratory reunion tour. Salt-N-Pepa received mighty media attention during the late 90's breaking male dominated rap industry rules and placing women and their sexual pleasure at the forefront of popular culture. With hits like "Whatta Man," "Shoop," "Expression" and "Stomp," (which stayed on the charts for an unheard-of 42 weeks in 1997-98) Salt-N-Pepa reshaped the available hip-hop jargon and gave women everywhere anthems to scream along too.

Although the 20-city "Legends of Hip-Hop Tour" has received one negative review, true fans should flock to center stage to see if these ladies (accompanied by Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, MC Lyte, Naughty By Nature and Biz Markie) can still bring it. The tour kicks off Feb. 4th in Cleveland. Each night of the tour will have a different artist line up. Check tour dates for details.
