Every Saturday we select a photo from our Flickr pool to be featured on hearty.

Anne Harestad is a 24-year-old photographer and student from Norway, currently living in Oslo.

Anne prefers to use film cameras and expired film. "I got a little sick of digital photography, so I started using compact cameras and expired film to mix it up a little, often Kodak Gold and DM Paradies, a cheap German film," Anne says. "I am still pretty hooked on that. The idea of not being in complete control of the outcome inspires me and keeps me interested." Her current cameras of choice have been her automatic Minolta SLR and a small Chinon Pocket Zoom.

"I love to document all the amazing places people live, to show people that there's so much more than just big cities." The photo above of the Icelandic farm, is from a trip Anne made this past March. "I rented a car by myself and drove around, stopping wherever and whenever I wanted. Being from a farm myself, I loved to see all the Icelandic farms in the middle of nowhere."
