Every Saturday we select a photo from our Flickr pool and feature it right here.

Orfeas Sampatakakis is a 24-year-old photographer living and working in Athens, Greece. Orfeas has studied film and television direction, working short on short films as a cinematographer, but his real passion is photography. He likes using film, mostly black and white.

"My favorite camera is a Nikon FM3A with a 50mm prime lens," Orfeas says. "Of course I can't carry an SLR all the time, and because I consider my self a spontaneous photographer, I need to have a camera all the time with me, so I also use very very often an Olympus Mju-ii and a Nikon AF600. I also have a Yashica Electro 35 and a Nikon FM that I use infrequently".

"The photo above was  taken within the first week of September 2013 in a little island in the Aegean called Kato Koufonisi.  It's the view of the sea as I saw it every day that I woke up in my tent made from palm tree branches and bed sheets. I was there during August with my girlfriend and almost all my friends coming and going. By September we were five or six people left."

To see more of Orfeas' work please check out his Flickr and Tumblr, which is a project with his compact cameras called FLASH!
