News__ Saturday Selection

Every Saturday we select a photo from our Flickr pool and feature it. Right here.

Daniel Grendon is a 26-year-old photographer from Queensland, Australia. Daniel has been living in London for the past 3 years but recently moved back to Australia to study.

Daniel describes his photographs as a diary of himself, his life and the people who surround him. "Mainly focusing on portraits I try and fuse memories and moments of my life along with the personality and feelings of the individual," Daniel says. "Most of my photographs end up being of my boyfriend Luke. It's a running theme and almost like an exploration of our relationship together."

This photo was taken on one of Daniels last few days in London. " The weather and mood was really expressing how I was feeling about having to leave London behind. London was where I really started properly to get into photography discovering the city and my new life there through the lens. Connecting to it in my own way."

Daniel is currently working on the second part to a project called Present X Past where Daniel takes photos of visiting tourist sites in London, and exposes them over images of everyday life back in Australia. Another project Daniel is working on is called Pieces, where Daniel creates portraits from multiple photographs of someone, placing them together to create a mosaic.

Daniel's favorite cameras are a Minolta Dynax 40 and a Yashica 108.
