Every Saturday we select a photo from our Flickr pool and feature it right here

Naomi Wong is a 17-year-old student and photographer living in the UK. "I'd like to make films in the future so photography has really helped me develop a further understanding into creating something visual," Naomi says.

The photo above is from Naomi's "In Bloom" series which focuses on the everyday mundane activity of a girl in her bedroom. "It was inspired by one of my favorite films; Sofia Coppola’s Lost In Translation, particularly the scenes of Charlotte hanging around her hotel room. I love using light and color in my photographs, they’re my favorite aspects of creating an image."

Naomi's favorite camera's are the Pentax Me Super--she uses a few special lenses and a flash with different colored filters. Naomi mainly shoots with film because of its "dream-like quality as well as the little imperfections of blurs, grain and light leaks."

In Naomi's spare time she keeps busy by curating a tumblr called  ANGSTY! Zine . "I love finding photographers on Flickr, there’s some really amazing stuff out there that deserves all the attention it should get."

To see more of Naomi's work please check out her Flickr, Tumblr and her blog.
