Every Saturday we select a photo from our Flickr pool to be featured on hearty

Petros Kok is a 24-year-old photographer, living ia a small town 3 hours from Athens in south Greece. The city is nestled between two mountains which are a big inspiration to Petros.

The photo above is part of a series called 2407.  "Each year in the middle of July many pilgrims decide to climb to the top of the Taygetos mountain and spend the night there to celebrate the Feast of the Prophet Elijah in the small chapel at the peak, 2,407 meters up."

Petros favorite cameras are a Kiev60 Medium format camera and an Epson v500 scanner.  "I think, dealing with this thing called art--watching it or making it--it's not a choice but a need."
