Every Saturday we select a photo from our Flickr pool and feature it right here

Tanner Ballengee is a 23-year-old writer, photographer, blogger, and skateboarder from Topeka, Kansas. The photo above is a Mongolian cat named "Chingis." The cat belongs to a friend of a friend Tanner stayed with while traveling in Vietnam. "Chingis was very rambunctious and loved to bite travelers in their sleep," Tanner says. "In this photo he was getting his claws trimmed. I think he looks scared and a little pissed off."

Tanner's favorite cameras shoot film. He buys whatever film he can get cheap. "I messed with expired disposables found at thrift stores for awhile, those photos turned out cool. This photo was shot with a Yashica T4, though."

Recently Tanner finished a photo zine from his travels. He called it "Harsh Barge" and contains over 80 photos from Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, India, and Nepal. It's available for purchase here.

To see more of Tanner's work please check out his Flickr, zine blog, and personal blog.
