64-year-old Oscar-winning actress, Susan Sarandon is the new campaign girl for Japanese brand, Uniqlo, so why is everyone buzzing over this?

Susan Sarandon, who won an Oscar for her role in "Dead Man Walking" and was nominated for several others, is now the new face of Japanese clothing line, Uniqlo. According to The Telegraph, Sarandon said she thought Uniqlo had excellent customer service and applauded the way they "approach the brand." Uniqlo's J+ campaign features 30 personalities or "Voice of New York" including Arizona Muse, Glee star Darren Criss, Esperanza Spalding and Tumblr founder David Karp. So, why is every news post focusing on the fact that Sarandon, who is a 64-year-old female, is modeling for the young, hip brand when clearly this campaign is about diversity and showing off iconic figures and not models? Why is her age a bigger factor then the fact David Karp has never modeled in his life? We don't care how old she is. Girl looks good.
