So basically when I said I wasn't going to party that hard, I think I was just kidding myself. Which is the excuse I'm running with, in why it's taken me a few days to do my last post. Texas has been great! Mexican fooding your hangover away is the way to do it. Refried beans make anything good. I haven't eaten this much Tex Mex in...well, ever.

This was the awesome lineup that played the second day of the CMRTYZ party. Look 'em up and listen to 'em all! Especially Bare Wires. Sweet sweet California rock 'n roll. Not too mention they're some of the nicest people I've ever met. At Beerland (great name) we got a chance to really hang out with them. It's been really rad to have the chance to meet people from your favorite bands, get saucy with them and bug them enough until they come and play your city.

So much beer was consumed on the streets of Austin. Due to all the drinking we walked away with more than some new 7"s, we got tattoos!

See the tattoos and read more below!

X O tattoos.

It was the biggest full moon in 19 years. Did anyone feel extra crazy Saturday night?

We mega keener-ed out and waited in line for a good 45 minutes to see The Strange Boys and Ty Segall. It was really rad to go see these two rocking bands at an official venue, The Panache showcase at the Mohawk. It made us feel like we didn't just fly half way across North America to party and bar hop. (But that part was awesome too.)

Oh and did I mention we got to see Thee Oh Sees in some Chicks backyard? In this pic, Alejandro from Dizzy Eyes, Clint from Manic Attracts, Steve from Dizzy Eyes and Ultimate from Detective Agency.

All in all this week was rad. Austin has a seriously awesome vibe going and it's not just the SXSW festivities. The people are so friendly, it puts Canadians to shame. There's also massive vintage and a massive vegan movement. Oh it felt like home.

Until next year Austin!
