A top 10 list of pieces from the s/s '12 runways we might have a little trouble actually wearing
From London, Paris and Milan to New York, the s/s '12 collections were mostly great. But of course, there are some pieces that won't ever hit the racks.
Paco Rabanne took inspiration from light, time travel and space, with flying saucer hats and dresses that seemed to extend into another dimension. Gareth Pugh created insect hybrids. And Maison Martin Margiela referenced couches, carpers, and couch covers--you know, the plastic ones. These are the kind of creations that we love to look at. But might not wear to work.
Above, the flowers on the Ashish boots are not a bad touch, but we don’t see ourselves fashioning our footwear into flowerpots anytime soon.
