If you like The Klaxons and Alexander McQueen, then read on, sister.

Starting August 24th, Blast First Petite is releasing The Klaxon's cover of Suicide's "Sweetheart" with an Alan Vega song on the B-side, all on limited edition vinyl. The cover art is Alexander McQueen's skull ring from this summer's collection. If that's not enough to make you google "Alan Vega" and move him to the center of your little cork inspiration board that you have hanging above your desk, then just go on listening to M.I.A and making origami planes to pass the time. Not that we don't love her.

Blast First Petite's series of Suicide covers are a tribute to the great synthesizer master Alan Vega, and though anyone can still buy the past singles on Blast First Petite's website, the limited edition 10-inches usually sell out in two shakes of a lamb's tail. Ever since Bruce Springsteen's cover of "Dream Baby Dream," fans wait with baited breath for other songs to appear, and it usually pays off. Bands that have participated in this series are A.R.E Weapons, The Slits, Lydia Lunch, and Primal Scream to name a few.

If waiting for the vinyl is too old-school and mp3's are more your speed, the download of "Sweetheart" is available now on Blast First Petite.
