NEWS / How to Make a Chanel Gown

Doesn't look so hard... Lesbian wedding or not, Chanel's Spring 2013 Couture presentation showed some of the most intricately beautiful lace gowns we saw in the fall precollections. Now we've been given an insider's view of the creation of Karl Lagerfeld's most recent masterpieces in a new video called "Le Savoire Faire." We enter the world of Chanel's Couture ateliers to check out the meticulous work done at embroidery studio Maison Lesage and watch the floral applique masters at Maison LemariƩ cut out a billion quarter-sized daisies. The final product is well worth the laborous creation process, but if we're going to take these techniques home to DIY, we'll probably start with a crop top and work our way up to a gown after some discipline-building sessions. Watch Chanel's Le Savoire Faire below. Seen on: Fashionologie
