News__ Long Hair?

October 25, 2010 | By

Long hair has long been a symbol of youth.  Major fashion magazines perpetuate this expectation and "short" is just what you're expected to do with your hair once you hit a certain age, that is unless your a, hippie (gasp). Author, Dominique Browning who wears her long hair with pride, tackles this issue in "Why Can't Middle Aged Women Have Long Hair?" for The New York Times. Even though most of us reading hearty are still "young enough" to wear our hair long, Browning's article is an interesting look at women and their expected image in society. We'll all be middle aged one day.
