News__ Super Smith
Remember when Tavi took over the fashion world and the elders at magazines like Elle went a little bananas when this tween was dominating their profession with ease? We do. And we hope that this same backlash does not happen to 9-year-old Willow Smith who, without a doubt, is on her way to becoming a superstar. Willow, who is the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, released her debut track, "Whip My Hair" earlier this week and it has already spread like viral wild fire. The tiny, half-haired, icon-in-the-making was recently signed to Jay-Z's label, Roc Nation entertainment, and is set to shoot her first major music video later this month in Los Angeles. "Whip My Hair" back is infectious, catchy and ridiculously danceable. "Don't matter if it's long, short, do it, do it, whip your hair." Try to get that song out of your head.
“It’s rare to find an artist with such innate talent and creativity at such a young age," Jay-Z told The New York Times. "Willow is about to embark on an incredible journey and we look forward to joining her as she grows in all aspects of her career.”
We don't want to say "move over Rihanna" but seriously, move over Rihanna.
