News__ WREN S/S ‘12
Peel like an onion
Wren, we’ve been waiting. There was that little 19-second video teaser back in the fall (directed by Gia Coppola), and we’ve since been in anticipation for the moment we get to see the Wren’s spring/summer 2012 collection with our very own eyes.
For s/s '12, Wren personifies the 50s/60s American good girl. It covers all the bases: paisley, fringed suede, bandanas, floral this and that, with respectable knee length skirts and wide leg jeans. But like any nice girl, she’s got layers like an onion: sometimes soft and then edgy and a bit of a rebel. Usually muted, though also wild when provoked. You can spy these intelligent injections of bold in psychedelic green-blue prints and galaxy textiles, and a pretty damn sexy LBD (little black dress) with a provocative cut out, all balanced against classic Americana styles, some relaxed PJ dressing and a girly floral.
Check out some of our favorites (we have quite a few) from Wren’s s/s ’12 lookbook below.
