Loving Beyonce and reelecting Obama at the same damn time

“I usually don’t email you — but I have an amazing invitation I have to share." This is how an email that was sent out from the Obama campaign began today. It was from none other than the queen of our hearts, Big Mama B, international sensation, loving mother, and now political activist, Beyonce herself. It reads, "Jay and I will be meeting up with President Obama for an evening in NYC sometime soon. And we want you to be there.” She's talking to you. She wants to party with you, Jay-Z, and the POTUS at 40/40. Seems like a dream right? She also writes, “Don’t worry about the airfare and hotel, it’s taken care of. And you can bring a guest.”

Regular priced tickets to the event are reported to cost $40,000, and invitations have been extended to some of the couples' close friends. But, because B is so gracious, all you have to do to enter the contest is donate to the Obama Campaign here and show love for his reelection. How lucky for those of us who: A) Aren't pals with Jay and B except in our imaginations and B) Don't have $40,000 to spend on dinner.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have supported Obama throughout his political career. B performed a cover of Etta James' "At last," as the presidential couple had their first dance at the Inaugural Celebration in 2009. She has also worked in tandem with Michelle Obama on the "Let's Move!" campaign that battles childhood obesity in America. You can bet baby Blue Ivy is going to be as fit as her mom.
