When push comes to shove, No Doubt delivers
After 11 years out of the game, No Doubt's new album Push and Shove is being released today. To celebrate, they made a promo video for the title track that's got the young-as-ever looking crew ripping through the streets of New York and playing around like no time's been lost. Featuring Major Lazer and Busy Signal, the dancehall vibes and feel good melody is characteristic of the rest of the album. No Doubt is back and Busy Signal's out of jail in November! Good things are happening.

Iggy Pop’s Second French Album

Iggy Pop en francias?
Iggy Pop is really showing us his inner Francophile. Following up on his last French influenced album, Préliminaires, Iggy Pop has announced he will be releasing another francais-inspired album, titled Après.
The album, which will be released May 9, will be made up of cover songs sung almost entirely in French. You can expect to hear things like Edith Piaf’s La Vie En Rose, The Beatles Michelle, and La Javanaise by Serge Gainsbourg.
We wouldn’t expect anything too shirtless or punk sounding after his last album though, think a smokey lounge in Paris. When Iggy cleans up, he cleans up french. Cat Power Names Album ‘Sun’

What other way would you release an album name these days?
Cat Power announced the name of her new album (and that it was officially finished) via two tweets yesterday. They went as follows: "I HAVE FINISHED MY RECORD" "IT'S CALLED 'SUN'."
We haven't formally heard from Cat Power since 2008 when she released her covers album Jukebox and Dark End of the Street EP. The album will be released through Matador, hopefully this fall. We're ready for the sun to start shinning.

Listening to Stumbleine's Try to Remember Me will keep this dreamy track on our minds all day
This is it. We have reached March first and it is finally time to validly be excited about the heat of the summer months. All of the music that makes you feel light and airy can replace that hard shit you've been pumping through your veins to keep you moving during the cold, depressing winter. (Okay, NYC never really got that cold, but the first inklings of spring are still so exciting.) Bristol producer, Stumbleine released Drifing Youth, a 7 track album on Monday and "Try To Remember Me" shines like a lighthouse in the lineup of tracks.
The textured, dreamy glo-fi R&B is heart wrenchingly beautiful. Everything in the world can melt away except for you and this song. Like a safety blanket, the buildup pours itself over you, drenches you in sunlight and lets you drift off to sleep with the heat on your face as it comes to a close.
