A frilly feast for the eyes--vintage wedding dresses Even if you're not thinking about getting married, it's interesting to look--like most couture. Château de Haroué located in Lorraine in North-Eastern France, has launched a vintage bridal exhibition. The 18th century, family-owned palace, designed by the famous architect Boffrand and decorated by 18th century artists is showcasing vintage bridal designs by couturiers such as Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Cristóbal Balenciaga, and Pierre Balmain. Many of the dresses are part of fashion collections and many are on loan from museums, such as a copy of the late Princess Diana of Wales' wedding dress. Curated by retired designers Hubert de Givenchy and Philippe Venet, the exhibition runs until August 31st. Also pretty cool: it's hosted by Princess Minnie de Beauvau-Craon, who is a direct descendant of Prince Marc de Beauvau-Craon, who commissioned the Chateau in the first place.
