Zilla S/S ’13 Iridescent Bags

Wednesday, April 24th, 2013
For the psychedelic princess. With a line like "My bag is my castle," you'd expect Zilla's bags to be sparkling. And they are -- in an LSD infused sort of way. The iridescent line for spring/summer 2013 comes in a variety of tint-shiftin' colors like orange, green and blue. The bags echo all the beautiful things in life:--water, gift wrap, beetles?--and outfit the brave bag wielder with totes, shoulder bags, clutches and a makeup bag. Zilla is the work of Slyvia Pichler, an architect by formal training who now works to transform everyday materials into not so everyday handbags. She also has a pretty killer sponge bag. See more of Zilla's iridescent bags for s/s '13 below.

Finding Overalls. Don't it always seem to go. Our first image of the collection of essays is the lady looking as effervescent as her wide leg denim overalls. The book itself will be a celebration of women and the love story Leandra's blog followers have oohed and awed at with a probable healthy helping of great outfits and funny life stories. The book is out in September but can be pre-oreder at Amazon now.

Merging by Masha Reva

Thursday, April 18th, 2013
Garden State moment Multidisciplinary artist Masha Reva conquers fashion design and big ideas in her recent project Merging. "Today a human is surrounded by huge amount of information, while social networks and blogs bring us an opportunity to create a superficial representation of ourselves in the web,” says the Ukranian artist. Reva’s photo series studies how users create their own virtual realities, and immerse themselves within it--all while losing touch with actual reality. We’re gonna take this as a reminder to get out and get some fresh air once in a while, instead of staring at our computer screens for hours on end. Beyond the loaded message, Reva’s images are striking; her subjects as beautiful as their fabricated settings. Check out more of Masha Reva’s work below. Spotted on: Juxtapoz
