Le Sportsac, Asana Yoga BagWe're not sure why it's so hard to find a yoga mat bag that isn't, well, hideous. We found this Stella McCartney one, but it's sold out, so we have scoured the internet for any other possible options and come up pretty short. Maybe we need to go into the yoga mat biz. Luckily, LeSportsac--who usually has us covered for basic bag needs--got the "Lack of Yoga Mat Bags" memo too and created the Asana Yoga Bag. We're into the patent black version. If you find any other nice yoga mat bags please post links in the comments section. Namaste bitches!
past Featured Artist and favorite bunny, Fifi Lapin, delves into theater circa late 1800's, for Spring 2010. The Vaudeville collection for LeSportsac from Fifi Lapin, includes an assortment of LeSportsac's Classic styles including some of our favorites like the Lily, Deluxe Every Girl Tote and The Weekender in any size. The collection also features some new friends of Fifi's--Ruby Gatta, Sonny Hare and Fifi Lapin with her dog, Stella.
LeSportsac has introduced more than 15 new shapes (including some reintroduced classic styles) for Spring 2010, which includes a yoga bag for your mat! Other hearty favorites are the Passerby Handbag (shown above) and the Deluxe EveryGirl Tote (shown below). See all the new additions here.
Following in the footsteps of our own featured artist, Fifi Lapin, Tomokazu Matsuyama has been named the new Artist In Residence for LeSportsac. Leaving the cute bunny prints behind, the American handbag company has gone with a more contemporary edge this time. Having grown up in both Japan and the US, Matsuyama has tunneled his mixed identity into his paintings. Attempting to express ‘natural chaos in our social environment’ his use of bright colors and eye-fulfilling patterns makes him the perfect candidate for the new residency. The fresh collection designed for LSS definitely is an eye full and two patterns are currently available--one gingham print, and another original design true to Tomokazu Matsuyama’s style. Get over to LeSportsac’s site to see the results here, or to learn more about your new (soon-to-be) favorite artist here. If you’re crushing on any pieces, don't wait! LeSportsac’s Artist In Residence collections are known to sell out quickly.
