What happens when you put Lou Reed and Lars Ulrich in a blender and record it? A full version of 'The View' is now available online--a unique and, um, intriguing slice of Lou Reed and Metallica's upcoming album, Lulu, set to release in October. Lou Reed told Rolling Stone back in June that the collaborative energy between the thrash-metal band and his own style was “a marriage made in heaven.” Metallica’s charged riffs and Lou Reed’s fluid poetry homogenize into a monotonous and heavy track, reminiscent of stoner rock, complete with the lyrics “I am the table.
