Charlotte Gainsbourg to release a 7-inch record with the Villagers
Charlotte Gainsbourg shares a lot of traits with her famous French father Serge Gainsbourg. They are both iconic pop stars who make beautiful music except unlike her father, Charlotte never got drunk and asked Whitney Houston to screw her on live television. She's sticking with the music. On April 16 (which is Record Store Day) Charlotte will release a split seven inch record with fellow folk rockers Villagers. The song on Charlotte's side of the 45 was written specifically for her by singer Dubliner Conor O'Brien of Villagers. You can listen to the track "Memoir" here. Along with "Memoir," O'Brien also created all the art work. "Memoir" will also appear on Charlotte's double album Live and Unreleased which comes out on Because this fall.
