From your feet to the walls of museums, Christian Louboutin at the Design Museum of London
Shoes have come a long way since the days of cobblers and perhaps iconic French shoe designer Christian Louboutin is the best example of this. His red bottomed shoes are not just made they are crafted and designed, and now they've walked their way into the world of art. To commemorate the designer’s years of pushing the boundaries of high fashion shoe design, the Design Museum of London has curated an exhibit of Christian Louboutin's artistic process complete with holograms, fetish room and promising a magical journey of style, elegance, and femininity. While shoes as art might seem no different than walking into the shoe department at Barney's, Louboutin's work definitely reflects a level of theatricality and design artistry that has set him apart as the shoe designer he is.
