VEDA and Reformation combine forces, and get “a little mixed up” in a good way
"Courtney Love of Hole, late Patti Smith, David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust, The Warriors, Diana Vreeland’s print mixing, Sid and Nancy, Highwaymen, Kate Moss and Johnny Depp circa 1994,” are the inspirations listed for VEDA and Reformation’s holiday capsule collection. In other words, the "distinctive marginal cool." For this, the talents of Ari Marcopolous were a perfect fit for behind the camera. You’ll know from a quick once over of his blog, EXFED, that Andy Warhol's past assistant, likes weird beauty with an edge, and keeps his lens far away from mainstream nuances and rather focuses on unique, eccentric souls.
The VEDA Reformation capsule collection titled, Cloe From 5 to 7, combines VEDA’s penchant for making the perfect leather jacket and Reformation’s re-purposed vintage and surplus materials. Extra sweet feminine pieces like lingerie dresses and silky loungewear are paired up with VEDA’s leathers. The 10-piece collection is loose, fun, spontaneous, and a little mixed up.
The model for the lookbook is rising star Ashley Smith, aka the gap-toothed, size nothing model, who has that Liv Tyler-like “je ne sais quoi” face and has had a lot of serious camera time with Terry Richardson. With a bright cherry red lip and porcelain face, done my makeup artist Jenny Kanavaros, VEDA x Reformation just nailed grungy-chic. For the lookbook Smith loiters around a room, stairwell, hall, hangs off the bed, plays 52 Pickup, and jumps around the room--pretty much all we ever want to do for the holidays.
Check out the VEDA for Reformation lookbook starring Ashley Smith and shot by Ari Marcopolous below.
KLÜP PREDICTS YOUR FUTURE

We divine in your future…your credit card bill is due
Hate it or love it, all things witchy and occultist are a go lately. Magic has made a serious comeback after getting a rough wrap back in the 1600’s. And pop culture buffs from the KLÜP Foundation have put another creative spin on the phenomenon with an over-sized Tarot deck featuring artistic interpretations by the likes of Terry Richardson, Vivienne Westwood and Marc Jacobs.
The art project follows Stacey Engman's exhibition, Contemporary Magic: A Tarot Deck Art Project, at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. The chosen 78 creative icons displayed their new works on their very own tarot card in the forms of collage, photography, and painting, alongside written interpretations that liken each artist with future forecasts and significations. (You know you’ve made it big when...)
These stylish decks are now available for purchase online. So when you flip over The King of Wands card at your next tarot reading circle, and Karl Lagerfeld is sitting crossed-legged in a bubble chair, don't be alarmed. Karl’s King of Wands card predicts adventure, new concepts, and a clandestine and in command future ahead.

MOM DAD (AND TERRY)

Teddy Bear Terry releases a new book that shows an intimate look into his family life
With portraits, interiors, and letters, Terry Richardson's new book MOM DAD captures his eccentric California mom and late father, Bob Richardson, as he declined in mental health towards the end of his life. The book shows us that Terry comes from two humans who are a far cry from bashful, which makes sense. And of course, Terry is in the book too.
This Morel double book is to be one of his most intimate series portrayals and provide new insight into Terry's personal life. But, when lined up beside his Diesel t-shirts, the Terry G-shock watch, Moscot x Terry eyewear, an upcoming book with Lady Ga Ga, Terry skateboards, Uncle Terry toy figures and Terry-faced teddy bears, one wonders if it’s not just another way to take the Terry brand home with you.
Terry the son, or Terry the enterprise?
Check out some preview images of MOM DAD below.
