Awkwardddddd
Grimes isn't just over the sexism of the music industry. She's also over Steve Buscemi, Easter Brunch and Vampire Weekend as witnessed by her new, weird promotion of Steve Buscemi, Easter Brunch and Vampire Weekend. In the video, Buscemi politely suggests Grimes attend Easter Brunch with himself and Vampire Weekend as Grimes wiggles awkwardly out of agreeing leaving us with a million questions. Does this actually work as an advertisement? Is Grimes too cool for Vampire Weekend? Who is Geo? Pro tip: Grimes would probably attend if Grimes was performing in your Amex Unstaged directed performance, Buscemi.

A.P.C. opens in the West village making the total number of locations in New York three
Last night A.P.C. celebrated the opening of a new store in New York. The West Village location (on West 4th and Perry Street), which pairs lots of silver with light wood and white walls, is tucked in between beautiful brownstone apartments and adorable cafes with outdoor seating. Rostman Batmangali from Vampire Weekend set the mood with the music, as champagne was sipped and people checked out the new space.
The opening of the shop coincides with the 25th anniversary of A.P.C. What a nice Happy Birthday present.
Bad All Summer Long
Friday, October 1st, 2010
We knew our readers weren't goody too-shoes, but we didn't know just how bad you really are. The winner of our Converse "All Summer" Contest is @tattedgrl who says the baddest thing she did this summer was:
" I peed on my ex's toothbrush before i packed it."
While we don't endorse peeing on people's things, we do commend you for being bad, it's earned you a Converse "All Summer" prize pack and hopefully the new kicks will help you find a better boyfriend. Good luck! Were You Bad This Summer?
Friday, September 17th, 2010
We've been sporting Converse All Stars since we were young--playing basketball (trying to), kicking rocks (we still do), and just kicking it (forever will.) Things haven't changed much, except for the size of our feet. And now that things are pretty much stable (in relation to shoe size our lives are a mess half the time) we can commit--to shoes that is. By now, you probably know that this summer Converse brought together three of music’s most influential artists--Kid Cudi, Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend, and Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast to create the track "All Summer."And now we're going to bring you the fruits of their labor. We’re giving away a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor's, a 7" copy of the record, and a signed "All Summer" CD.
Summer is about being bad--bad in the sun, bad in the water, bad on the sand, bad on a stoop...you get the point. So to enter, be following us on Twitter and tweet at us the baddest thing you did all summer. Find us @heartymagazine 1, 2, 3, let's hear it!
