News__ Filthy New Tunes
Lovers of dubstep, those divisive dirty beats, have known boy-wonder Rusko since Fabriclive, his mix with Caspa, exploded in 2007. This week, the U.K.-bred and L.A.-based producer delivered his second album, titled O.M.G.!, on Mad Decent. While primarily set at 130 beats-per-minute, the album includes a bunch of iPod-friendly tracks like Rubadub Shakedown, featuring Rod Azlan, and the mellower District Line. Rusko is continuing to reach across dancefloor genres, with collaborations including M.I.A., Sleigh Bells and Hot Chip. But make sure to get your hands on his track, “Hold On,” with angel-voiced Amber Coffman of the Dirty Projectors. Get ready for Rusko’s rise.
